Covorlax was developed in reference to the Go Green Cumulus Award. 

 

The task was to design upholstered furniture that would meet the need for comfortable seating while reducing the environmental impact of previous upholstered furniture - thus "Covorlax" was born. 

 

A service provider that accepts used carpets, cleans them and eventually refurbishes them into new, comfortable upholstered furniture. 

It was important that environmentally harmful upholstery be avoided, that the materials be easily separable and, of course, that old carpets be recycled, because in Europe alone, some 1.6 million tons of carpets are burned each year in an environmentally harmful manner.
